Didn't know until now that mix of hydrogen peroxide with baking soda can be an easy trick to whiten the teeth. Very informative article and knowing this solution can definitely help me save some real dollar that I used to spend on dentist's visit before. Don't know though how long the teeth will remain white using this easy mix easily available in stores.

I totally agree that having white teeth is important and I believe that that is one of the main aspects that stands out about a person, when it comes to first impressions. Glad to know that I can use hydrogen peroxide to achieve this. I have been using the really expensive teeth whitener from the store. I will give it a shot! Thanks for the tip!

Interestingly enough, I remember a public health professor mentioning that during world war 2 soldiers used hydrogen peroxide to cure mouth rot, something about the oxygenation good for killing bacteria. A couple of other suggestions for good dental hygiene: how you brush, dentist recommend brushing in a circular motion and at a 45 degree angle to get under the gums as well, and baking soda is great for teeth whitening, my toothpaste has baking soda and I get many compliments on my teeth!

    • Ladanzinati90201 says:

🙂 I really dont like cleaning my teeth i mean i do it just it is boring so this post really did not cling to me but oh well. It helps sometime to read them to motabate your to do it. lol. I think it is good though to brush your teeth otherwise you would not have white teeth and then they would be ugly.

  • Ashley89 says:

I have always used peroxide and baking soda to whiten my teeth and they have always been pearly. I have heard to some degree it eats your enamel, but I have never had that problem.

    • Ladanzinati90201 says:

Tima, sorry to hear you have not had a good experience with some of the teeth whitening products you have used. If you don’t mind, I would love for you to share with me the ones you used that did not work for you. Thanks

  • EdwardB says:

Hmmm… brushing with hydrogen peroxide is general knowledge, but to not do it with baking-soda? That’s a mystery. The bleaching process according to the free tips video is interesting in that hydrogen peroxide over the counter is diluted, and a way is needed to keep that compound on the teeth itself to get the work done. Interesting.

  • Harry says:

I was taught to use baking soda as a substitute for tooth paste since an early age. After reading this article I will try hydrogen peroxide.
    Thanks for the article!
